The VX Smart is a compact and autonomous industrial vertical glass laminator designed for the precise application of process and protective films on glass.

It is an entry-level compact industrial laminator for glass manufacturers, combining reliability, patented WALCO® technologies, and a reduced footprint, while ensuring industrial application quality on insulating glass and flat glass surfaces.

Glass applications

The VX Smart industrial vertical glass laminator is designed for protective film application on:

  • insulating glass,
  • flat glass,
  • industrial flat glazed surfaces

It ensures precise and uniform lamination, protecting materials during processing, handling, and storage.

Cutting System

  • Adjustable film margin according to glass specifications
  • Flush application for optimal surface protection
  • Negative cut: film intentionally leaves uncovered areas at the front and back, facilitating handling and integration into production lines while ensuring uniform protection of the remaining glass
  • The peripheral margin width is adjustable from 0.2’’ to 2’’ (5 to 50 mm) directly via the HMI touchscreen, with film application accuracy of ±0.12’’ (±3 mm)
  • Patented WALCO® rotary blade for automatic protective film cutting, meeting industrial requirements

  • Height: up to 134’’ (3,400 mm), depending on maximum film application height
  • Glass thickness: compatible with panels from 0.16’’ to 3.15’’ (4 to 80 mm)
  • Standard width (without HMI arm): 750 mm (29.5’’)
  • Depth for single-side lamination: 3,200 mm (126’’) with 350 mm diameter film rolls
  • Standard length: 5,770 mm (227’’), including 2,510 mm (100’’) conveyors each
  • Electrical cabinet: integrated into the VX SMART structure, with UL-compliant components
  • Single application head for single or double-sided lamination
  • Machine complies with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and UL standards for the U.S. market
