Walco 822 - Industrial Laminator for Traffic Safety Signs

The Walco 822 is an industrial laminating machine specifically designed for the production of traffic safety signs and barricade blanks. This stand-alone laminator is engineered to apply permanent reflective films to flat, single-sided sign blanks, with high accuracy and minimal waste.

Designed for modern sign manufacturing environments, the Walco 822 ensures consistent lamination quality while adapting to the specific characteristics of each substrate, including sheet metal, aluminum panels and extruded sign components.

Laminating reflective films for traffic safety signage

The Walco 822 applies permanent reflective films to traffic safety signs and barricade blanks with a maximum standard width of 50.0 inches.

Compatible substrates include :

  • Sheet metal sign blanks
  • Aluminum panels
  • Plywood sign substrates
  • Extruded barricade blanks (optional configuration)
  • The system can be upgraded upon request to accommodate extruded barricade applications.

  • Powered top unwind station with air brakes
  • Rewind station to remove and rewind carrier liner onto a new 3"" cardboard core
  • Lateral web adjustment up to 1.0"" during lamination
  • Push-button control panel
  • Single-point nip adjustment
  • Safety air cylinders
